I’ve been writing this blog for well over a year now and I have been reflecting on how much information I have managed to impart in my own unique way. I’ve also been pondering how much I have tried to encourage retirees and older, to learn to play the piano because I know that there’s actually quite a lot of you out there. So, as it usually happens, one thought led to another and it led me to deciding to ask you: What do you want me to write about? What questions would you like me to answer?
Asking questions is not only a good thing in learning, it is absolutely essential because while I have heard a lot of questions over the years, it doesn’t mean that I have been asked every possible question. Also, if there is something that you would like me to discuss, I can almost guarentee that someone else is thinking that same question.
I would also like to make it clear that I am writing this for your benefit. I want this to be a blog that offers quality and encouragement. I have standards for myself and I am not about saying things just for the sake of it – I write what I mean and I mean what I write.
What I get out of this blog is the knowledge that I am helping people overcome any obstacles for them to learn to play the piano, or to return to playing the piano after many a year haitus. I know how much enjoyment there is in playing the piano and how it has been an avenue to meeting people that I have otherwise would not have met. I also gain a lot of pleasure from knowing that I could be making a difference for others, in some small way.
